Fibre optic cabling

Fibre optic cabling is predominantly installed to achieve high transmission rates over longer distances forming the backbone of a network. It has the highest level of reliability and redundancy for transmitting audio, video and data information.

The installation, termination and testing procedures are critical to the performance and reliability of any optical infrastructure and Approve Network Installations LTD have the relevant skills, training and equipment to design, implement and test optical solutions in the following:

  • Multimode, OM1, OM2 or OM3
  • Singlemode, OS1 or OS2
  • Fibre To The Desk (FTTD)
  • Blown fibre solutions
  • Fusion splice, hot melt, polished and crimped terminations
  • Power light meter testing
  • OTDR testing (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer)

Test results are submitted in both electronic and hard copy formats and are provided as part of the customer handover documentation.
